Even under those conditions they didn’t keep ‘em from getting the flu.But do N95 masks, properly fitted and worn, significantly reduce the risk that the person wearing the mask will spread the flu?

Definitely! I have a N100 mask that has an exit hole for my exhales. It does not go back through the filter.

IIRC, the answer was no. They didn’t see a significant difference.
