Three months after her husband, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated, Erika Kirk will open up about life, loss, the state of political discourse and more in a one-hour town hall event moderated by Bari Weiss, CBS News' editor-in-chief. The special will be broadcast on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS television network and will stream later on Paramount+ and CBS News 24/7.
The event, filmed before a studio audience, will feature Kirk fielding questions from young evangelicals, prominent religious leaders, and figures across the political spectrum. The conversation will also focus on our country's political divide — and how we can find our way out.
Erika Kirk is the chairman and CEO of the Turning Point USA. The organization was founded by her late husband, a conservative political activist who was shot and killed on Sept. 10, 2025, while speaking before a crowd on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
"Like so many people around the world, I will never forget the moment that Erika Kirk forgave her husband's killer," said Weiss. "I am eager to speak to her — and thrilled to be doing so in front of a group of Americans who I know will elevate the conversation."
The town hall will be recorded in New York before an invited audience.

At Charlie’s memorial, I saw President Trump look down at her fingers covered in rings and it was easy to see what he thought of that.

When I had New Employee Orientation at a five-star resort on Maui, this issue was emphasized. The guests were “old money” — those people whose names you never hear, but have tons more money than people you do hear about. (Excluding Musk, of course - LOL!)
Our guests also were royalty from major countries.
The rules for female employees:
No more than one necklace.
No more than one ring on a finger. Wedding set = one ring.
No more than one bracelet on a wrist. Watch = a bracelet.
Earrings — No larger than a nickel. Absolutely NO dangling.
Visible tattoos ... piercings ... forget about it!

When I was involved in auditing a non-profit and catching a crooked lawyer on their Board of Directors that was not a bad reflection on the non-profit.
They were and remain highly respected in their community many decades later.
They just became an excellent non profit that was not getting robbed any longer.
(The rest of the Board was so grateful to us for catching the bad guy—we are talking hugs here.)

I just finished watching Erika Kirk‘s Townhall on CBS. I have a far more positive feeling about her sincerity and her intelligence after watching this. Barrie Weiss might actually make a difference at CBS, which will shock me if she does. .
