Looks a lot like the grill of my Toyota Highlander. You don’t suppose . . .
I remember back in the day when every 2 years cars underwent major redesign. Then everything went ordinary after the ‘57 Chev. Until Luxury Mercedes looked the same as the Ford Taurus.
Let’s go back to big fins, eh.
My other option was a 1980 Chevrolet Citation released in April 1979. It was a grand more expensive so I went with the Ford. It rusted quickly but ran fine, except for having to replace the clutch at 40,000 miles. Oh, and the rack and pinion had to be replaced around the same time. Drove it for maybe 80,000 miles and sold it for $400.00.
I was car hunting around 1990 and stopped into a Chevy showroom. I had the sales rep open the hood on a cheap model and it already had rust on the exhaust manifold. I’ve never stepped foot on GM property since then.
Let’s hope they put it on the market.
The video shows what look like several options, hood scoops, fins, dual exhaust pipes or quad.
just to keep it in perspective, a union journeyman tradesman made around $6.25 an hour...
MORE oversized electric golf carts to fail miserably in the market place? The new IC Camaro was already a bit of a joke compared to the classic original.
Electric golf cart fanbois hardest hit!
And entry-level jobs are mostly over $25 today! Big boost from $15.
Your $4902.30 in 1969 is the “same” as $42,918.25 in 2025.
Always correct for inflation before comparing prices, wages, or salaries. To do otherwise is not honest.
The intent was for fun and interest, no less.
It’s always interesting to see that extent to which our wonderful benevolent government has devalued our “money”.
Tell the young people today that such a wage is equivalent to $2.74 back in 1969 and watch their brains try to grasp that.
