True about the bolts but the investigation is tracking cracks in the pylon mounts, not the bolts.
This sounds very much like the DC-10 crash in Chicago in 1979. IIRC, shortcuts taken by maintenance crews led to cracked engine mounts. An engine came off and went right over the fuselage.
