Thank you for your community service.
There’s this cultural thing folks in central Tennessee do which I’ve only ever seen on the occasional news item where a hidden camera catches someone abandoning their pet on a country road somewhere and driving off with the dog running after the car.
Those people should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Farther. I’d rather take THEM out than their pets, but once their once beloved little fur baby family pet has outlived their importance, they somehow think “farmers” will take care of any strays they find.
doesn’t work that way.
But I hate having to be “the grown up” and take care of other people’s problems before they become MY problem.
I’ve been eradicating feral cats like a mission from God for ten years and I’m FINALLY seeing squirrels, raccoons, opossum and other wildlife coming back. Coyotes help with this too, and neighbors help keep the coyote population down (so too, I think, do the large cats that are coming back).
You’re welcome.
