Wrong. He voted against the Big Beautiful Bill. If he got his way, it would have resulted in the largest tax increase in US history. Are you obtuse? Done with you. I can’t fix the stupid in you.

You’re fixated on one vote, and one small aspect of that vote. And your interpretation of that vote is wrong. But you don’t care.

For the umpteenth time, no, he did NOT vote to increase taxes. He has consistently voted for tax cuts, over and over.

The BBB increased spending significantly. That’s why Massie voted against it. Are you in favor of increasing Federal spending even more?

There was no tax cut in the BBB. Voting against it does not mean voting for tax increases.

You simply don’t know what you’re talking about and you’re doing nothing but repeating talking points, then when refuted, you don’t provide evidence, you just call me names. You sound like a liberal.

The libs want all the Freedom Caucus types out (including Massie) becuase they want to lock in Big Government. RINOS who oppose Massie carry their water.

In the 2023 calendar year, Republican Liberty Caucus (RLC) gave Massie a 100% “Liberty Index” score — the highest among House Republicans that year.

In the 117th Congress (2021–2022), Heritage Action gave him a 96% session score.

Other conservative-leaning ratings (from e.g. National Taxpayers Union) also list him among the top “taxpayer-friendly” or “small-government” lawmakers.

The high scores from RLC, Heritage Action, NTU, etc., measure alignment with libertarian / limited-government / free-market principles. They don’t necessarily measure how often he votes with party leadership.

According to his official vote record, as of late 2025, he opposed (voted “Nay”) several bills including certain appropriations and pieces of the 2026 continuing budget/oversight bills.

When big bills come up (e.g., omnibus spending, big tax/spending packages), he sometimes breaks with the party because he views them as too large, too deficit-driving, or too intrusive.

He explained his “No” vote on the BBB by saying the bill “wasn’t beautiful enough,” citing concerns about rising deficits.

Mar 6, 2024 — H.R. 4366 (2024 Consolidated Appropriations / “minibus” funding bill) — Nay

Apr 30, 2024 — H.R. 4824 (Carbon Sequestration / Energy / DOE program expansion) — Nay

May 23, 2024 — H.R. 5403 (Ban on a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) without Congressional authorization) — Yea

Usually No on big-spending/agency-funding bills, Yes on “freedom-oriented” amendments/bills.

Massie usually votes “No” on large appropriations bills.

He often votes “Yes” on bills or amendments aimed at limiting federal power (e.g. blocking a CBDC initiative.)

On foreign-policy/defense /foreign-aid bills (e.g. Ukraine aid), he again often votes against, reflecting a consistent non-interventionist strain.

Do oyu support or oppose Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA)?
