I believe that technically speaking, Afghans are considered “Caucasian.”
They border Pakistan, so I’d put them in the South Asian category with Pakis and Indians.
Yes, technically they are Caucasian.
My first Army assignment was in Ethiopia. I was told the people there were black Caucasians. And their physical appearance were proof of that. The only physical characteristics they had suggesting they were not Caucasian was their skin pigmentation. I recall seeing an Ethiopian girl whose facial features were outstandingly beautiful and almost a twin to a very beautiful girl in high school that was also a cheerleader. Had it not been for the fact this Ethiopian girl was black, she would have passed as this high school girls sister.
So racial classification can be difficult. This article’s subject terrorist certainly is not black and he’s far from Asian, so he must be white. More precisely middle eastern Islamic white, which accounts for his criminality.
And yes, I’m raciss.
“Afghans are considered “Caucasian.””
I believe you are correct. Besides, there’s no “Stan” category.
Well, yeah. There are only so many categories to choose from.
Some confused folks think that skin color = race. Geesh.
This sort of crappola comes up all time when a police report is issued on some guy from south of US border — i.e., Hispanic. 99% of the folks there are of two heritages, Asian/India from ancestors crossing the land bridge tens of thousands of years ago and Spanish invaders from hundreds of years ago.
So, tow choices regardless of skin color: Asian or Caucasian. You can go for a combo.
You bet, I sick of these white people.
