Given the suddenness and totally unexpected nature of the attack, it’s hard to fault the guy’s marksmanship. What’s disturbing, is the potential that the shooter rented a dead man’s identity. Criminals steal the identities of dead men to escape pursuit by the law, but every record related to the deceased can easily be checked. How do you verify Afghan bona fides?
