The ID picture looks very different from the guy on the gurney. My suspicion is the actual soldier was killed, and a jihadi took his place, for a substantial fee either paid up front, or over time from working in the US, to the relatives of the dead hero who vouched for him. Maybe the jihadi just wasn’t up to working as an Uber driver. Many emigrants aren’t the richest, but perhaps above average back home, albeit on incomes at which a US McDonald’s short order cook would scoff.
