I’ve become somewhat of a reactionary over the past few years. I deliberately do calculations on a piece of paper (or in my head), vs. using a calculator. I also use actual paper maps when taking a road trip; go to local libraries to do research; walk to the neighbors’ houses to shoot the breeze; do all sorts of stuff by hand; etc. It’s all in response to the prevailing belief in society that “The Internet is the be-all and end-all of existence”.
And the same stuff we’re seeing today on aliens vs. inter-dimensional entities was available in the past also, just in books rather than on a computer screen.
I think the biggest deception is what academia, both theological and scientific, has pushed onto mankind. Out of Africa or the Adam and Eve stories to me are both illogical. How can all the races of mankind be the product of Noah and his three sons. For instance, how does that account for Neanderthals and the Denisovans. Also I will never accept that all dogs are decedents of wolves. The fact is is that no one really knows how humans and other animals evolved, it is just a wild ass guess. Sorta like asking ten cops if something is illegal because you are going to get ten different answers. We earthlings have no clue about the universe and how it all works, we only know what works here and we are still in the dark about some of that.
