There are cultures out there to where stealing and cheating is accepted. It could be to get ahead or just to survive. The Somalis won’t change just because they are here-not when the opportunities and rewards are so much better.

What’s hard to understand is how religious catholic countries like Mexico and the Philippines are still failures.

I agree 100% with the article.

One thing not mentioned is assimilation. Suppose that us conservatives were to one day win the argument over immigration (Trump seems to be doing a bang up job on that), all illegal immigrants were kicked out, the anchor baby phenomenon was abolished (babies of people here both illegally and legally as visitors), and the number of future immigrants coming legally was lowered. Even then I'd expect a certain level of assimilation to our culture from the migrants. They'd have to leave whatever 3rd would behaviors behind and also not be a burden to our welfare system (which I wish we'd abolish anyway).

IIRC we had to suspend legal immigration from Europe for this reason back in the Ellis Island days. Isn't it reasonable to do the same from 3rd world nations?

I have zero problems eliminating immigration from Somalia, or prosecuting and deporting those Somalis already in the country who have committed illegal acts.

But a plan that proposes to deport all Somalis living in Minnesota specifically is just dumb. It won't hold up legally, and the worst of the bad actors could afford to move to a different state anyway.

Not all people from other nations should be deported, but the ones here should be made to assimilate if they wish to stay. Certain groups have shown that many of them don’t wish to assimilate & they need to leave. Now is not soon enough. The problem is their culture sees nothing wrong with theft and fraud. How many of the others, not smart enough to set up an elaborate criminal enterprise do things like cheat on SNAP benefits? For that matter I'd like to see how many are able bodied and capable of working, but are on some form of government assistance. I'd like to deport any who have committed any sort of welfare fraud, not just the egregious swindles that make the headlines.

Australia does not let immigrants in unless they demonstrate fiscal independence, and I'm fairly certain Switzerland does the same. This goes a long way to ensuring immigrants don't come to live off the hard work of the people who are legitimate citizens. We need similar policies.

We may not be able to send unassimilated Somalis back to Somalia, but it is going to come to a head sooner or later with them.

They want Sharia Law. And they are (if they haven’t already) going to turn large swaths of areas of Minnesota into no-go zones, and will set up their own enclaves.

And these won’t be like “Little Italy” or “Chinatown” areas which people enjoy going into because they are largely welcome to go in.

These will be areas that will be populated by corrupt, lawbreaking, vote-frauding, unassimilated, angry, unwelcoming, and hostile to America and American values Somalis.

They will be wholly hostile, except, of course, for the “Bitch Dollar” sums they will be able to take with a grin from taxpayers.

Nothing good is going to come from Somalis who refuse to assimilate and will be hostile to this nation.
