Agreed. It’s over. There’s no Britain to even serve anymore.
Then that should be the plot: Bond resurrected saves Britain from the Woke.
They won’t make that movie of course.
If it’s not based on a Fleming novel, it’s not a Bond film, it just has some tw@t calling himself Bond.

I agree. The longer a media franchise hangs around, the more likely it will become a joke. Look at Star Trek, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean, and Lord of the Rings, to name a few. All had their time, but they had to stretch it thin until they became cheap, Woke, knock-off parodies of themselves. Let Bond rest in peace. Even a fictional character deserves to retire or got to his eternal reward at some point.
There is one way to deal with it. Make all the stories take place smack in the Post WWII-Cold War era. The gadgets are still gee whiz, the women don’t have tatts or face piercings, people are generally are more pleasant to look at. No cell phones, ubiquitous cameras, bland cars. And James Bond is still alive with plenty of life left in him.

Can he serve for King ( Charles III ) and what the country has become?
If they absolutely, positively want to resurrect Bond (that is, milk the franchise for more dough), the solution is easy: they need only discover a heretofore unknown illegitimate son (and God knows there should be no problem rationalizing the existence of one of those) who given his bloodline is groomed by MI-whatever to be the continuation of the super spy.
Or I guess they could clone the old Bond from some tissue recovered from the explosion that ended the original version.

Even if was supposed to get a new 007 because Bond finally loses, it wasn’t going to work.
007 and Bond are synonymous.

I disagree, on the three Jackson LOTR films based on the Tolkien books. Quality all the way.
The largely CG Bilbo/Smaug series, while serviceable, are not up to the LOTR standard.

Needs to save Dr Who from ‘the Woke’ also.
Haven’t watched Dr Who since Pertwee left.

Well, Walther has discontinued the PPK.
I bought them all on Blu ray up until the end of Tom Bakers run 1979 or so. Oddly they still haven’t released all the classic episodes yet. Pyramids of Mars is excellent.
