The headline is so poorly written that I thought the Poodle had a heart attack.
Same. I thought, what a heroic dog, saving her master while suffering a heart attack. We have a poodle, and she seems on the verge of a heart attack when my wife leaves for five hours to tend to the church flowers.

It does read exactly that way. now that you mention it.
Quite the multi tasker. that Lily!
Otherwise, though, it is what most would call a heartwarming story. Some “Rescue” Dogs deserve that title.
Meanwhile, Puffball, the Siamese Cat, watched the entire heart attack episode take place, and never moved from her pillow on the nightstand. ///
