Art Bell, despite his radio fame, actually did a big disservice to America by lifting crackpot pseudo-science out of disgrace and obscurity and into mainstream culture. His interviews were the exact opposite of critical cross examination; they were slobber-fests over any jerk with a book or stupid idea.
