Fair enough. I don’t believe we’ve had alien contact, think this article and the claim that, “George HW Bush ‘knew’ of 1964 alien contact” is total nonsense. But, driving late at night, I loved listening to Art Bell. Believe none of it, but still enjoy it.

What holds me back from embracing these alien encounter stories is that I am very skeptical about aliens coming all this way across the universe to visit Earth and then crashing their spaceships into our planet on a regular basis as if they have almost no clue about celestial mechanics and gravity.

Does this really make any sense?

I believe these stories are fiction. That doesn’t mean there are no aliens out there, I just don’t believe they operate in the ways some proponents say they do, and why would they? If they wanted to help the people of earth they would make themselves known to all of us, not just Bush 41 and a few other people.
