I am not against teachers who have to be part of the union to work. They have to work, and are often members against their will. I have personally known some of these people.

That said, I regard teachers who are enthusiastic about the unions and involved with the unions to be enemies of the well-being of this country, indifferent to children at best, and hostile to them at worst, and I believe those people should not be allowed to be part of teaching children.

NEA has done NOTHING to further the education of our children. Their goal is indoctrination, not education. The last thing they want are children who can think for themselves. My granddaughter is a straight A student at Ole Miss, but when asked about the extinction of the dinosaurs and the comet event, she said her HS teacher said that was a myth and that it was global warming the killed them. Evidently, US history is no longer taught in HS either. The chasms in her education are a byproduct of NEA indoctrination. If you have kids in school, make the effort to see what's being taught, because it is a long way away from what I thought it was.
