I’m not in love with full auto anything due to muzzle rise. I think that’s why the M16 went from full auto to a 3 round burst. Anything over three rounds and you will be bird hunting.
I have a semi auto 12 gauge with a 20 round drum. For fun I’ve fired the thing as fast as I can pull the trigger. I cannot hold the muzzle down. At about the 20th round the barrel as over 30 degrees pointing upwards.

No that’s fudd lore. Anyone who has served with the M4 platform should be able to mag dump at FA the entire mag into am E silhouette at 25 meters. The recoil is a steady push not some mythical jackhammer. The MP5SD would dump a whole mag at 50 meters into a E target it’s suppressed and smooth like butter again it’s a push not a jerking action 700+ rounds per min is simply too fast for individual recoil pulses to matter it’s blends to a steady push back.
Pistol FA is controllable if you have a fore grip for a two handed hold or add a Glock Stock the folding kind to the hole behind the mag well it turns the Glock into a very VER
Effective PDW put on the rail up front a vertical handhold , the folding stock and holographic optics on the slide you now have a 100 meter effective range FA if you switch it that will hold head sized targets at 50 meters , center of mass at 100 and full mag dump at 25-50 into a human sized torso. Of course civys after 1986 cannot modify a Glock to this PDW configuration legally in the USA but in other countries you can and people do often.
