And the lesson that our professional betters in Washington have drawn over the past few weeks is that means they are as bad as Nick Fuentes. They are Nazis too!
Tucker Carlson: "But of course, they are not Nazis by and large. They are just American young people. And so the question is—and it is a pressing question if you care about the future of the country—why have they been listening to Nick Fuentes? Sincerely, like what is this?
Why aren’t they listening to somebody from the Heritage Foundation or the Daily Wire?
Why do they believe Nick Fuentes more than they believe the people who think they ought to have a monopoly on the attention of young conservatives? That is a really important question. And what does it say not simply about their attitudes, but about the problems they face, the society they grew up in, the future they imagined for themselves?
What does it say about all of that, that Fuentes is so popular among young men? After all, young men really are kind of the basis of our hope for continuing as a country.
##
It’s immoral to dismiss the concerns of your countrymen as beneath consideration. “I don’t have to listen to you because you like some guy who has got ugly views.”
By the way, it is not a defense of all of Fuentes’ views. We interviewed him on the show and said it is totally immoral to hate Jews as a group because it’s totally immoral to hate any group. Period. That’s always wrong.
But it doesn’t mean that everything Fuentes says is wrong. It’s not wrong. And more to the point, what he says on the air and his huge popularity, which has only increased the more these people scream at him, says a lot about the people who are listening and their legitimate concerns and the factors in our society, in America and in the West, that gave rise to their attitudes."
I listened to what he had to say about women. Not good.
I don’t know what side he’s on. I don’t want him on my side.
That’s funny right there!
I used to find him very distasteful until I actually watched an episode.
I still find his views on women to be distasteful but if you watch anything he has said about Jews in the past few years IN CONTEXT, you would know that Carlson's description of Fuentes "hating all Jews" does not accurately reflect his position.
It's much easier to argue against that strawman than it is to argue against Fuentes' actual position.
So he's controlled by someone.
Or he's a grifter.
Agreed.
If someone accused you of being “controlled” or a “grifter” with zero evidence—would you like it?
The Golden Rule applies here.
Soros is known for doing things like this. So it wouldn't surprise me if Nick is on his payroll.
I have my tinfoil hat on.
You are assigning motivation to Fuentes that you cannot prove.
Again—if someone accused you of being on Israel’s payroll—with zero evidence—you would not like it.
It is poisoning the well of discourse.
It is not good faith discussion.
Correct.
But it is kind of obvious to many people that Fuentes is a troll.
He'll have to prove to us that he's not a troll.
But my guess is that he won't do that.
Just my two cents.
Are you ready to prove you are not a troll?
Once we go down that rabbit hole there is no exit strategy.
If he was controlled by someone I would have thought they would have been able to get him reinstated on YouTube and Instagram. I guess whoever is controlling him doesn’t actually have any pull.
Irrelevant. I am not trying to gain influence. Nick Fuentes is trying to gain a following on the right.
1.1 million followers on X.
Fair enough—so are we are going to claim that any young person that seeks to gain a following on the web is a troll?
Only the successful ones?
Without evidence the claim is noise—adds nothing to the discussion.
Only the successful ones?
Just Nick Fuentes.
According to his tweets on X or videos on rumble. You may want to check them out sometime. He's a provocateur.
I know who Fuentes is. I know what he says.
I take him as who he claims he is—until I see specific and credible evidence to the contrary.
I have been on several forums of all political stripes and they all accuse Fuentes of all sorts of stuff.
What they have in common is...
Zero credible evidence.
When negative claims are made about a person’s motives with zero credible evidence that is called...
A smear.
We can do better than that.
And he was only allowed back on X when Musk took over. Do you think Musk is in on this plot to boost Fuentes to split the right?
OR…..
Is it possible that people are starting to realize that something isn’t quite right with the outsized influence Israel has over our foreign and domestic policy. Maybe these people are looking for answers and being told to shut up and stop asking questions by everyone BUT Fuentes.
I wish there were more America First/America Only people on the right so that the only person talking about it didn’t have so much other baggage.
Just like Fox News took off in the 2000’s when all other media was liberal…
Just like a bunch of podcasters rose to fame in 2020 because all other media were COVID alarmists…
Fuentes is rising in fame now because he is one of the only ones telling the truth about Israel.
(I would say Dave Smith actually got in on both of the last 2 examples)
There were many others who were the Nick Fuentes of their day—but they got banned and cancelled and/or hounded to the point where they ran for cover.
The survivor is the one with the courage to keep on trucking through all of that.
Fuentes is an "asset" controlled by someone. He's getting paid for it.I believe Tucker is also an "asset".
It wouldn't surprise me if most online "influencers" were "assets".
Operation Mockingbird has evolved.
