I’ve stated from the outset that it smells a lot like it was botched with intent.
The grand jury “defect” in the Comey case is complete BS. After presenting evidence to the grand jury, US Attorney Halligan presented them with a proposed indictment, which contained several, separate criminal counts. The grand jury voted in favor of most of the charges but refused to approve one (or maybe two) of the charges. In response, Halligan deleted the count(s) that the grand jury voted against, and presented a copy of the indictment containing the counts that the grand jury voted in favor of, which was presented to the foreperson of the grand jury for signature. It is complete BS that the entire grand jury had to be handed the edited copy of the indictment for review before it was signed by their foreperson.
Statute of Limitations was a big part of Comey’s case. No such luck for Tish.
