It was still a pretty good movie.
Sometimes a Great Notion is one of my favorite novels ever. I think I’ll reread it again soon.
As for the movie, it was OK but nowhere near as good as the book. (IMO, Steve McQueen would have been better as Hank and Strother Martin as Henry.)
BTW, the movie was titled “Sometimes a Great Notion” in theaters, but retitled “Never Give a Inch” when it aired on commercial television.
