US President Donald Trump has urged Republicans in Congress to vote to release more files relating to Jeffrey Epstein - a sudden reversal in his position after having previously opposed efforts to make the documents public.
Trump had been facing a potential revolt this week after a growing number of Republicans signalled they would vote in favour of releasing the files despite his opposition.
While the measure is likely to pass in the House of Representatives, it is far from certain that it would pass in the Republican-controlled Senate.
And even if it does pass in the Senate, it remains unclear when the files could be released and whether they would satisfy ardent campaigners.

DJT should have done this months ago. Everyone needs to be told by WHouse that loads of additional date cannot be released ‘cause judges sealed the info. Also, the SDNY corrupted this whole process by giving immunity to practically everyone and sealing the names of victims and pedos.
WHouse should announce this: what is coming out and what cannot.

We all know if Trump had anything to do with the perversion and illegal activity on Epstein Island, the Dems in the Biden administration would have blared it out to prevent DJT from regaining the white house. So, it’s about names of powerful people who may or may not have contributed to getting Trump reelected. So what if their names come out? Too late to get their money back and Trump is in his last 3 + years of office, so shine on!

Hey BBC! Could you survive a $5 Billion lawsuit from Trump? Becasue we are going to find out! (it may only be a $1 Billion by the time he files, if he feels like letting you survive)
Dick Durbin won’t vote no. He blocked the subpoena two years ago.
