I had a farmer client that had a herd of cows and one night he told me of a cow that was in dystocia and needed a vet. I saw the cow in the pasture in distress and it was just at dusk. I took my jack and equipment into the pasture and began to work on the cow. I was busy mutating the foetus when something licked the back of my neck, I looked around it was a large Bison Bull...I didn’t know he had cows and Bison. I figured I was going to die anyway so I just went on with my work. I got the calf delivered with the Bison standing alongside me. I gathered up my equipment after the calf was recovering its birth and scooted out of the pasture. That was just one of my rear end pucker times.
