The Dade County jail is place you don’t ever want to be. I’ve been there (as an observer).
We were there as part of a master’s degree class and we hadn’t been there 5 minutes when some huge inmate that was being transferred tried to escape in the hallway right in front of us. They herded us all into a room and locked us in there so we wouldn’t get hurt. All hell was breaking out in that halllway. They finally came and let us out and we left the jail immediately. I could not get out of that dirty, crummy place fast enough. 😆

I had the pleasure of old Dade by Jackson memorial and the Stockade
The stockade was leftover Miami us army air corps WWII base with no AC which was fun

County jails in big cities are in my opinion more deadly than United States Penitentiaries
Lack of established order is the main issue
North Dade more a transit depot for federal prisoners is more palatable
