Seattle (aka Northern San Francisco) has been run by Socialists for years if not decades. There’s even a statue of Vladimir Lenin in a place called Pioneer Square which some people claim is technically not within city limits but close enough and they don’t have a problem with it anyway.
Actually, Lenin statue is in Fremont District, not Pioneer Square...but, yes, still in Seattle
The statue of Lenin is actually in a northern area of Seattle called Fremont. Fremont was not initially part of Seattle. It was started as a planned community around a sawmill and continued as a low-skilled workers area for many years.
Of course the Communists influenced these blue-collar workers.
