Talk about pulling - my buddy had a ‘72 Cadillac Eldorado that he would use for pulling his 24’ tunnel-hull boat to Lake Powell from Lake Tahoe.
500CI, front wheel drive, huge inside with so much leg room due to no drive shaft. Plus a gigantic radiator - going up those long hills through the desert the temp gauge would barely move.
I miss those cars.
That’s another beast. I had a friend with one of those too. And another with a Lincoln with a big displacement engine but I forget how many inches.
I have a ‘05 Buick LaCrosse presently & it’s been a pretty good car. Previously I had a ‘94 Park Ave. & later an ‘02 Park Ave. Those were wonderful cars & with the 3800 engine got good mileage & reliability. Wish Buick still built cars like these. Those cars were truly cross-country cruisers while still being good around-town cars as well.
