“Executives warn the ban could fuel a surge in black-market sales if federal regulations aren’t adopted within a year, as demand for hemp-derived THC remains strong.”

__________

China CCP growers hit hardest.

$28 billion industry with or without any restrictions being applied. When you are used to operating in the shadows, as the Mary Jane “retailers” have been for decades, it is easy to slip back into them, and the whole operation gets back underground.

-Executives warn the ban could fuel a surge in black-market sales -

There are over 150 weed stores in Albuquerque. There is no way that this many stores can stay in business legally.

I think a lot of the store fronts are there to cover for black-market sales. The market is swamped here so there is no room for a surge in black-market sales.

The ban would not affect us.

Trump’s sinking of drug filled boats threatens a $100 billion industry. So what? Does anyone really care about whether stoners get their dope legitimately? I know I don’t. I think making it easier for the weak minded to get high with a gateway drug is poor policy. Listen to Afroman’s “because I got high” sometime.
