No, we’re not for MORE legal immigration at this point.
We’ve so suppressed wages and increased housing costs with illegal and legal immigration that we’ve destroyed the American dream (and American culture) for much of the country.
We need to expel illegals and stop legal immigration for a good chunk of time in order to get our country back.
We are raising idiots at this point with our intentionally rotted school system, and we need to reverse that. Importing skilled workers is masking and delaying our dealing with that.

Amazingly some are making it through the gauntlet of what passes for education these days. Witnessed it first-hand for over 15 years but this is Texas so there’s that. Mostly rural kids with some city kids thrown in as well as a few outliers being homeschooled. Believe me, you could tell the difference on the outliers... much more grounded and focused.
The only way to fix it is to start over as the libtards/commies are fully embedded in the educational system and have been for decades. Flush the whole rotten mess and have a super heavy duty plunger at the ready. This includes much of higher ed as well.
I find it difficult to believe that there is not enough “skilled” Americans for these jobs so yeah.... please stop importing people until we get this ship righted.
The problem is that the skilled job unemployed is in fact riddled with people who can’t pass the drug test and just don’t come to work.
If there is a job site accident involving a druggie, the costs from the resulting law suits are overwhelming. Insurers don’t allow such employees on your factory floor.
A second factor is just not coming to work. Although possessing the needed skills, many can’t be depended on every day to show up on time and ready to work.

Perhaps big pharma played a role in much of that.... although.... I have observed those that have the skills and drive to do actual onsite work catch flack for making the rest look bad. Slackers gonna slack. Looks to be an opportunity for some of the well-seasoned folk to step up and stand in the gap... so to speak... as it’s mighty tough to beat experience as well as wisdom. Jettison the slackers and reward your reliable hands well.

Insurance companies.... now there’s a another sector of society that needs a good colon cleanse using the strongest coffee available. Those worshipers of the almighty dollar have forgotten the people they are supposed to serve especially during catastrophic life events. Been there, done that.... more than once. Better stop there.

See above... though I should add the unrelenting attacks on the family unit coupled with the “march through the institutions” have weakened society as a whole resulting in a loss of many of our youth... this can be rectified provided we “take out the trash”. There are entirely too many administrators throughout that could give less than a hoot as long as they’re drawing their fat six figures every year. Long live the drilled paddles.
