Trump Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem sparked a wave of anger on the MAGA right this week when she boasted on Fox News that the administration had “sped up” the legal immigration process.
Noem...was asked by host Lawrence Jones to weigh in on the administration’s additional fees for H-1B visas for high-skilled foreign workers. President Donald Trump defended the visas.... saying America does not have enough “talented” workers to meet its needs.
....
“Now, we’re going to keep using our visa programs. We’re just going to make sure that they have integrity, that we’re actually doing the vetting of the individuals who come into this country, that they want to be here for the right reasons...” Noem replied, adding:
"And that’s what I think is so remarkable: under the Trump administration, we’ve sped up our process and added integrity to the visa programs, to green cards, to all of that. But also, more people are becoming naturalized under this administration than ever before—more people becoming citizens—because we’re not just streamlining and building some processes back into our immigration policies.
"We’re also making sure that these individuals that are coming into our country and get that privilege actually are here for the right reasons....It’s remarkable what President Trump has done, and it’s because he’s a great leader. He’s a visionary, and this man is going to go down as a legend in history as our greatest president ever."
Noem was quickly dragged by prominent MAGA media influencers. The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh replied to a viral clip of her comments, “We do not want or need more people to become citizens.”
Steve Bannon’s White House correspondent Natalie Winters hit back, “Not sure what is worse: this actually happening or the admin thinking this is a ‘win.’”

Why not? This administration has made it clear we’re India first.
Noem needs to get out and talk to blue collar Republican voters in the heartland.
Then she may figure out the issue.
Has anyone defined the skill sets that Americans are supposedly lacking?
This strikes me as more of a Mediaite attempt at a Jedi mind trick.
What is with all these negative news articles all the sudden.
It shouldn’t take 10 to 20 years to become a citizen.
Are they doing this to make people get together and say no more H1B?
Because if that’s the case it is going well
I don’t know how else they could do it
The complacency of the people in this country who are actually the government is what drives corporations to take advantage of us
Now we’re all yelling at them
That’s the first time that’s happened in as long is I know
Ted Cruz pulled this crap in 2015. I called his office and said he’s off my list. Because of this
That’s 10 years ago
They don’t stop
How does MAGA rage?
“the skill sets that Americans are supposedly lacking?”
We are very bad at lobbying.
Foreign interests make sure America last is the real agenda in DC.
The third most populated country in the world but we are too stupid for the sophisticated work and need to have people from the world’s back water hell holes do the fancy work.
Does anyone really buy that.
This is such BS. The invisible man got even more invisible.
MIGA?
Noem is a f’g squish globalist loser with small boobs and nice hair.
Righties wonder why actual communists are winning elections.
It should take 0 dont let them in!
F u joe those high skilled jobs belong to Americans.
It might have to do with Secretary Noem opening her mouth all of a sudden.
These indos bring socialism with them. Trump is really f’g it up. He needs to get smart real quick.
