Same here. I was never racist, but back in 1984, I took a promotional exam, and scored a 92. Because of State of New York decided to give extra points to minorities on the list, I had to wait 5 years for my promotion. I'm a white female, and there were fewer white female Sergeants in the prison system at that time. I never forgave them. God has been kind though. I start my 23 year of retirement next month. I have no more money left in my pension fund, so my sons will get nothing, but the State still has to pay me every month.
Fascinating story. Makes me wonder how many have been victimized.
