I agree. Even the one who did really did not do it on purpose. He was just poorly trained.
Is not the rookie cop who had only been on the job a few weeks?
I really felt bad for him.
Even more so than the other cops.
He got screwed.
The manual that was NOT allowed as evidence.
Thee manual that was ignored by the police chief when he lied saying that Chauvin was not trained to do that.
A long (1hr 45 minutes) but excellent (and unbelievable) documentary about the Floyd arrest, riots and trial.
One of the amazing parts to me was how the politicians jumped on the suffocation thing so quick. Then the coroner does his study and says something like “He didn't suffocate. What do I do now?”
He used the exact training method he was taught:
“Derek Chauvin used the Maximal Restraint Technique (MRT) during the arrest of George Floyd, a method that was reportedly approved and trained by the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) at the time.”
I remember when Derek Chauvin’s mother held up the training manual for the cameras showing the approved use of the MRT.
“Bodycam footage and training materials reviewed in a documentary titled “The Fall of Minneapolis” indicate that MRT, which involves applying pressure with the knee on a suspect’s back or neck area, was part of official MPD training during the relevant period... multiple officers confirmed they had been trained in it.”
Derek Chauvin should be released. Immediately.
