Sydney Sweeney sat down for an interview, where the reporter clearly expected her to apologize for the American Eagle jeans ad. Sydney handled it perfectly.

You’ve got me competing with AI
I am an English teacher, author, veteran officer of the USAF, educated by Dominican nuns in black and white and many educated suburban New Yorkers to stop
Mumbling and speak up speak clearly
And AI is going to tell me I’m wrong about this mumbling valley gorl
Stop talking to me
The interviewer is annoying ... those fake “look how smart and thoughtful I am” pauses are signs of an inferior mind.
Sydney sounded like an articulate person talking to a person she holds in utter contempt and with whom she loathes speaking.
Yup.
What’s a Zendaya?
Good points, especially this :
“But Sweeney’s responses are a good example of the right way to respond. She clearly is smart and can think on her feet and react the right way on the spot.”
Or, to paraphrase Rush, “spare us the apology tour!”
Never heard of her either.
What does she do?
No surprise there.
She’s not at the same level as Sweeney.
She mumbles
Apparently (from the picture) “Zendaya” (Didn’t Anthony Hope write a book about that?) is some sort of tart with a smaller bosom than Miss Sweeney’s.
Well, it was one of those meddling kids!
Or Who does she do?
Too many simps is the problem.
Who’s stupid?
The crazy GQ woman or the beautiful Sweeney?
Nope!
Da me? I would say it's a state of calm attentiveness.
Grok:
Sydney Sweeney is widely regarded as an articulate and eloquent speaker in interviews, red-carpet appearances, and public events.
