Ah yes, the insufferable, anemic looking bint who lasted maybe a season as Bat Girl.
It was more than that. Ruby’s on-set antics helped to tank the show after just one season, at a time when anything Batman or Gotham City was hot stuff.
Ruby claimed that the showrunners created a toxic environment for her and forced her to work despite her fears about COVID-19 dangers.
Warner Bros. Television and several people associated with the production strongly refuted Rose’s account, calling it “revisionist history”. Their response included:
Dismissal for Behavior: The studio stated that Rose was not a victim of a toxic environment but was actually fired from the show “based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior” that were extensively reviewed.
Crew Member Accounts: A production assistant, Alexander J. Baxter, countered Rose’s claims, calling her a “dictator” who was late, never memorized her lines, and was rude to the crew. He alleged she partied and got high, causing delays.
Defense of Co-star: Warner Bros. TV defended Dougray Scott, calling him a “consummate professional” and denying any record of allegations against him.
Other Cast Member Statement: Camrus Johnson, who played Luke Fox, also tweeted that Rose was fired, implying she had done much to warrant the dismissal
