Dipwad hasn't wrote anything worth reading in over 30 years
I just looooved the first few King books. The Stand, with its fight between good and evil is fantastic.
The Dead Zone
The Shining
Firestarter
I’ve noticed that he always manages to get a dig in against his hated enemies: non-democrats.
In The Shining remake that he booted—Kubrick’s imho, is much better—when the caretaker is showing Jack and whatshername the Presidential suite in the Overlook, he tells them about the presidents who stayed in the room, including Nixon: “But we don’t talk about him much ha ha”
King sucks. Who hurt him? He has this vicious streak about anything not Carter/Obama/Biden et al.
I’m pretty sure his agent and wife must beg him to keep his trap shut.
The first book of his I ever read was Salem's Lot. It was the offer from Doubleday Book Club. I read The Stand, Cujo, The Shining, The Dead Zone and Firestarter, The Tommyknockers, and others. I think the last book of his I read was Rose Madder. Nothing after that. I got away from him, moved to Preston and Child's "Pendergast" novels, and into historical mystery series, also non-fiction history.
The Stand is fantastic. My other favorite was Salem’s Lot.
