If anyone is a master at telling monster stories, it’s Guillermo del Toro.
For years, he has wanted to tell his version of “Frankenstein,” and now his imagining of the classic Mary Shelley novel has finally arrived on Netflix.
In true del Toro style, however, his creature is not a monster, but one filled with emotion and humanity. And that vision was something prosthetics artist Mike Hill kept in mind when creating his designs for del Toro’s film. “We wanted to stay away from classical zombies or anything like that,” Hill tells Variety.

I was engrossed throughout.
And it's a visual masterpiece at the pinnacle of film.
I saw Young Frankenstein years ago. It was good.
Wow really. I was thinking of signing up again for Netflix to see it, I love horror.
Watching it now. Glad they didn’t gay it up. Benecio del Toro is heterosexual. Good film for netflix.

It’s the very best adaptation of the book, but it doesn’t follow the book.

Benecio’s monster looks more like an ayyyyylien anyway.
Johnny Weismuller is Tarzan, Peter Sellers is Jacque Cleuseau. Lesley Neilson is Frank Drebin, Ahnold is The Terminator and Boris Karloff is Frankenstein’s monster.
