KEWANEE, Ill. (KWQC) - Three women have been charged after police say there was an argument over the price of a pizza late Wednesday morning.
Nakeita Simpson, 33, of Elgin was arguing with Cenex gas station workers after the price of a pizza was a dollar more than what she had thought, according to Kewanee police.
When police arrived, they offered to pay the $1 to end the argument, but that didn’t work, police said.
The arguing continued and was joined by two women, Kianna Simpson, 27, and Diamond Lockhart, 18, both of Kewanee, police said.
The Cenex employees told police they wanted the women to leave, and while officers were walking them out, Nakeita pulled down a merchandise display near the entrance, breaking several items.
Police said they tried to place Nakeita under arrest, but she resisted, and all three women became combative and resisted arrest.
All three women were arrested and taken to the Henry County Jail, police said.
The three are each charged with:
Felony aggravated battery to a police officer
Obstructing a peace officer
Resisting a peace officer
Nakeita has an additional charge of criminal damage to property under $500, police said.

That’s the sad truth.
Once again.
Fatigue.
So much fatigue.
“Here’s a book!”
“NOOOO........NOOOOOOO......NOT A BOOK!”

RE: arguing with Cenex gas station workers after the price of a pizza was a dollar more than what she had thought
Why didn’t the employees say: “Really? With Donald Trump in the White House raising all our prices and you don’t believe this went up $1?”
This was over gas station pizza?
Looks like they’re all SNAP recipients.
lmao at the pic. You can’t make it up.
They needed the lower pizza price because their SNAP was cut off and they were starving. You can see it in the gaunt, lean visages. Such hunger is a horrible thing. They might have expired that very evening without pizza sustenance.
Watching The Klansman (Lee Marvin as the Sheriff) there was a sign “Pizza 30 Cents a Slice.”
Hard to imagine those prices. 1967.
It’s about disrespect!
Those poor people at Dachau had nothing on these women.
Three photos.
“If we don’t get the pizza who knows how long until we drop down from starvation.”
Cop: “In jail overnight, in the morning they will feed you a roll and a cup of coffee set into the opening in the bars. Enjoy.”
Hungry, hungry ghettopotamuses.

That’s spur of the moment cliche move they saw on the old cable shows or YouTube videos of Walmart fights.
One classic.

Will NYC surpass them soon?
It's not the money - it's the principle!!!
“Heard ya got robbed!”
Michelle turns to Barry, in a state of bafflement:
“All this ... over Pizza?!!”
In Illinois....
Can’t JB Pritzker set up a news video of him putting his arms around their shoulders and donating his own hanky to mop their tears?
Could be viral faster than a Van Hollen adult beverage scene with an illegal gang member.
