POLITICO: How an Adam Schiff indictment could shake the Senate
Politico ^ | Nov 9 | By Hailey Fuchs

President Donald Trump’s retribution campaign against his political adversaries could soon hit the Senate — and lawmakers are already bracing for impact.

After securing the indictments of former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, Trump has his sights set on Sen. Adam Schiff, the California Democrat who as a member of the House managed the president’s first impeachment trial.

If Schiff ends up indicted on allegations of mortgage fraud — a charge he has vehemently denied — or for any other claim, it would mark an unprecedented escalation for Trump to target an outspoken political adversary who is also a federal elected official.

As Schiff solicits dollars for a legal defense fund and builds an expansive political operation prepared to do damage control around any potential charges, Schiff’s Democratic colleagues in Congress are increasingly anxious about their own vulnerability. They are also frustrated with the unwillingness of Republican senators to speak out on Schiff’s behalf.

“I’ve spoken to a number of Republicans, and they are certainly disquieted, if not dismayed, by the increasing weaponization of the Department of Justice,” said Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.). “Because it tears down the norms and rule of law that protects them and all Americans, as well as Adam Schiff and Democrats who may be targeted by Trump.”

Slow motion indictments, like a Kabuki dance performed underwater.

“Retribution”? For what?

They misspelled “Justice”. A reckoning if you will. What did they expect?

Well I know what they expected. They thought they could get away with all their bullshit in perpetuity. They chose … poorly. And they’ve gone completely insane over the last 25 years.

Propaganda really needs a captive audience, gaslighting won’t work very well in a free and open society. There is an ever widening dichotomy from what everyone can see versus what we are told. Their Narrative and issue framing simply no longer operates. “Manufactured Consent” through the media outlets isn’t quite dead, but it sure smells like it.

So they are left only not with persuasion but with raw force and violence. I bet there is a perfect correlation with their violent rhetoric going up with trust in the media, academia, and government going down. Again, what did they expect? Yes they are ultimately stupid, but they thought everybody else was too. Oops

Yes, he should have been serving time before now if justice moved as it should. Sometimes it seems as though the things that matter the least are concentrated on first.

President Donald Trump’s retribution campaign against his political adversaries...

This is yet another feeble attempt at establishing a narrative seen all too often these days by leftist media.

The DOJ suspects a crime and goes after the suspected criminal...period. Nobody has to tell them to do, or how to do, their job.

All Politico and other 'news' organizations are doing is simply a distraction technique.
Frame the narrative painting the illusion you desire.

The beat cop isn't doing their everyday job, they're being told by the Police Chief to go after innocent people.

Never accept your opponent's premise and the premise being proffered is these people dindu nuffin' even though they, proverbially, have blood on their hands and they're waving at everybody.

“it would mark an unprecedented escalation for Trump to target an outspoken political adversary who is also a federal elected official.”

The Rats set the precedent for that when they went after the HIGHEST federal elected official - the president.

Hummmmm? That is some sentence. Let's try it this way.

If Trump ends up impeached on charges of corruption— a charge he vehemently denied — it would mark an unprecedented escalation for Schiff to target an outspoken political adversary who is also a federal elected official.

Oh wait. That already happened… twice! Screw Politico and that corrupt bastard Schiff.

Mortgage fraud should be the least of his concerns. He’s a strait up traitor life half of the left.

And the shenanigans going on at the Standard hotel in LA

With barrels of acid to dispose of the evidence.

It may retribution, but they made it so easy. James is dead to rights, Schiff will be a harder lift with there being legitimate questions about what constitutes primary residence. Comey is probably the most complex of the cases brought already. I wonder who will get indicted next and for what.

No - more specifically, a Democrat Senator.

Republicans are below the law. The bogus case against Senator Ted Stevens back in 2008 causing him to lose his re-election in Alaska is why we have Obamacare now. It wasn’t tossed on a technicality it was tossed as being completely bogus.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/judge-lambastes-prosecutors-dismisses-ted-stevens-conviction-1.814451

https://www.murkowski.senate.gov/press/release/murkowski-aghast-that-stevens-prosecutors-will-not-be-disciplined

Stevens almost certainly would have won re-election with his usual 30 point+ blowout but for his bogus indictment and conviction. Instead, he narrowly lost, giving the Democrats their 60th seat to have cloture on Obamacare’s initial vote. Then after that, even with Scott Brown’s upset victory in Massachusetts, it was too late to stop it, as they were able to pass the House’s amended version on reconciliation which does not require 60 votes.
