Here is a numbering system invented by human reasoning. Does work, but no addition, subtraction, multiplying, or dividing with it.

Invented by Romans, the symbols for numerals using the alphabet (used also to code sound):

I = one
V = five
X = ten
L = fifty
C = one hundred
D = five hundred
M = one thousand

There you see what the number of (a) man, or man's number, does with six hundred sixty six, embodying one each of the numerals that can dive a quantity up to nine hundred ninety nine:
