With today’s standards in Hollywood, I’m surprised they didn’t dress the Goering character in a blue suit, red tie, and red baseball hat and have one of his lines be “We just wanted to make Germany Great Again”.
I watched a clip on YouTube where Crowe’s Goering is his jail cell explaining the attraction of Hitler and he basically says “he promised to return to our former glory...he made us feel German again”. I have no idea if Goering said this or not. But it made we wonder if that dialogue was meant as a subtle attack on Trump.
