From the article:

It is worth noting that the 2020 Second Nagorno-Karabakh War (September 27 to November 10), and the 2023 Azerbaijani offensive on Nagorno-Karabakh (September 19 to 20) — which led to Azerbaijan’s control of the entire region (the Republic of Artsakh) and other territories of the Republic of Armenia — and the perpetration of genocide against its Armenian population, occurred during Netanyahu’s tenure as Prime Minister. Further, Israel provided full military and political support to Azerbaijan, a fact that Armenians will never forget.

Yeah, how about that.

It's not surprising at all that Israel had stronger ties with Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan had been targeted by Iran, Iran also targeted Israel for decades and continues to. Iran tried to take away Caspian Sea gas fields from Azerbaijan, and needed arms. Azerbaijan held onto the fields, and the money that came in from those helped them build up their armed forces. Armenia's economy continued to decline during the same interval.

Turkey (ethnically tied to Azerbaijan) considers Armenia as an enemy.

By contrast, Armenia was supported by Iran because Iran's pretty much an enemy of everyone apart from their longtime sponsors, Russia and China.

Iran didn't do anything much to help Armenia, because all its resources were being directed into the annihilation of Israel.

The author of the smear piece is clearly just allied with Iran.

Basically Jew haters use any excuse to hate on Israel and Bibi in particular.

After the election of Pashinyan (our favored candidate, ahem) who, given that the “problem” of Nagorno-Karabakh was an obstacle on the pathway to NATO membership, decided to leave its inhabitants to their ugly fate. Problem solved and map tidied up.

The lib press crowed about Russia not coming to the aid of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, but the Russian attitude at the time was basically “if you aren’t willing to help your own people, why should we?”
