How it came about reads like the NFL, which it basically is since NIL.

NIL and gambling are killing the goose that laid the golden egg.

Absolutely true, and it was easy to predict. We're just now starting to hear about a few gambling scandals, but it is probably already a deep, pervasive problem set to undermine American sports.
