Thinking of all this from a wider viewpoint, look at the harm feminist influenced unmarried women are doing just to the economy.
No getting married in early to mid 20s so no need to buy a house, and the carpeting, expensive kitchen appliances, laundry washers and driers, furniture for all rooms, insurance and so on. Rooms repainted, roof repairs, new furnace later on.
No family so no kids’ clothes, toys, sports equipment, music lessons or ballet lessons.
No family to movies or the beach.
No annual family vacations as no family. Fewer families to resorts and amusement parks.
They say there are millions fewer houses than expected for this part of the decade, partly due to high costs but also to fewer married couples.

A complete flaw in logic. Going into debt (that they expect men to pay off) getting useless degrees isn't any indicator of intelligence.

I suppose that, if an unmarried man were to vociferously broadcast his aversion to domestic duties already during the dating phase, that might negatively impact his chances of securing a mate - but the article is suggesting that women are avoiding men at the get-go, like when their eyes first lock at a distance in a crowded bar, because they can somehow "sense" that, after months of dating, an engagement, and marriage, the men will neglect their household duties.
The author of the article is obviously grasping at straws to justify women's laziness and pickiness in the dating scene.
