Meanwhile, the Senate Continues to Confirm Judges (confirmed a nominee to the 9th circuit yesterday)

Posted on 11/06/2025 1:58:41 PM PST by cotton1706

Over one full term and less than a year of a second term, Trump has had confirmed:

3 justices of the Supreme Court (33%)

60 judges to the Circuit courts (34%)

187 judges to the district courts (28%)

29% of the judiciary overall

Trump has filled all the existing vacancies on the Circuit courts this year. But there are five Circuit judges appointed by Reagan and four by HW Bush that should be retiring (they are all late 70's 80's and one who's 98). There are also several Clinton judges in their late 70's or 80's.

There are currently twelve district judge nominees working their way through the Senate.

With more than three full years to go.

This is encouraging, but we need string POTUS wins together with Senate majorities. The Judicial branch is still very progressive

The Democrat judges are team players.

Many of the Republican "judges" are not.

Ruth Bader Buzzi was NOT a team player.

The judge probably sucks. The Liberals handed in their blue slips so it may as well be a Pelosi judge.

Probably 90% of judges are left leaning losers. Trump couldn’t even find one solid pick in his three loser appointments. A pothead, a drunk, and a dingbat.

Trump got 44 Circuit Court judges confirmed in his first term

Biden got 45 confirmed. Obama got 55 confirmed

Thus far in his second term, Trump has gotten 2 Circuit Court Judges confirmed.

We have a long way to go to counter the damage done by Obama and Biden....we’re not even halfway there yet.

dang it.....google gave me bad numbers. It is 60 appeals court judges confirmed under President Trump which means 6 so far in his second term, not 2.

There have been six Circuit judges confirmed this year, filling all vacancies.

A TON of Clinton judges were replaced by Biden, and a number of Obama judges as well. A lot of them probably wanted to retire but didn’t during Trump’s first term. Which is another reason why they were so desperate to get Trump out in 2020.

But despite this, the ratios are still pretty much the same. For example, the 9th circuit is still 16/13 Democrat/Republican.

Obama and Biden’s crazy district judges keep getting overturned, because they’re making policy rulings (not their role) instead of law rulings.

We’ve got to get more Circuit judges confirmed to counter balance Obama/Biden. Of course its not a surprise they’re far ahead given they had 12 years between them and Trump hasn’t even had 5 years in office yet.

Not flipping a few Senators in 2022 was very damaging because it meant Biden got to have a ton more judges confirmed than he otherwise would have. We’ve gotten rid of most of the Democrat Senators from red states. The big exceptions are Arizona and Georgia. There is no reason why two red stats should send 4 Democrat Senators to Washington.

There are no more Circuit vacancies at the moment. But there will probably be about 15 from the Reagan and HW Bush retirements and probably a couple of Clinton or W retirements.
