World record was caught at Lake Rayburn TX. 283 lbs. 100” long. 48” girth.

I too, have seen just as big, if not bigger gar.

One day as a teenager, I caught 3 - two about that size and one smaller. The largest two were about 6 foot long, and one as about 5 foot.

“Scientists” who grew up in a city are SURE it’s the biggest gar! Yeah. Right.
