Trump White House snubs ex-VP Dick Cheney, offers no condolences on his death

WASHINGTON — The White House offered no public condolences Tuesday on the death of former Vice President Dick Cheney — saying flags were lowered to half-staff at the executive mansion because the law requires it.

President Trump has repeatedly attacked Cheney, who died Monday at age 84, as a “warmonger” and sparred with his daughter, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) who served as the top Republican on the House select committee that investigated Trump’s role in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Both Dick and Liz Cheney endorsed then-Vice President Kamala Harris in last year’s election, with the former VP saying Trump was the greatest threat to the country since its founding.

“Last I checked, the president had not commented on the death of former Vice President Dick Cheney. Is the White House involved in the funeral arrangements in any way?” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked during her regular briefing.

“Does the president plan to speak at the funeral? Has he spoken to anyone in the Cheney family today? And does the White House have an opinion on whether or not the former vice president should lie in honor or state in the Capitol?”

Dick (couldn’t be a more fitting name) Cheney was a war monger’s war monger and the deep states deep stater. He was a liar and spawned something just as wicked as he was.

And this globalist bunch that tried to destroy Trump expects condolences? What a laugh.

Dick and Liz need to be put in the same hot corner of Hell as Hiter, Stalin and Mao.

“In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump.” — Dick Cheney

No condolences are warranted.

Its should be hilarious to watch the hacks in the liberal media admonishing Trump for ignoring this shitbum. Cheney was Hitler before Trump was Hitler.

He’s supposed to be Hitler. Then they want him to be all warm & fuzzy toward his political enemies. They can’t have it both ways.

“ On September 6, 2024, Cheney issued a statement confirming he would vote for Kamala Harris in the presidential election, in which he said: “In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump”.
His daughter, former Rep. Liz Cheney, reiterated his belief in a subsequent interview: “My dad believes... that there’s never been an individual in our country who is as grave a threat to our democracy as Donald Trump is”.
Cheney has made numerous other critical comments about Trump, including calling him a “coward” in a 2022 campaign ad for his daughter and stating that Trump “can never be trusted with power again”.

Whatever Trump should say about Cheney’s death should be the same as whatever Cheney said about Trump’s inauguration.

Correct me if I’m am wrong, but I don’t remember former vice presidents getting big ceremonial funerals when they die like former presidents do. This is nothing more than the corrupt media trying to create an issue where there isn’t one.

“””Whatever Trump should say about Cheney’s death should be the same as whatever Cheney said about Trump’s inauguration.””

What would Cheney say if President Trump expired?

After what Cheney said about Trump, Trump shouldn’t give a rat’s patootie about his passing. No condolences required!

Yeah. Dick was a dick. Very tough guy with other people’s blood.

From Wiki, which in this case seems to be spot on:

“When Cheney became eligible for the draft, during the Vietnam War, he applied for and received five draft deferments. In 1989, The Washington Post writer George C. Wilson interviewed Cheney as the next secretary of defense; when asked about his deferments, Cheney reportedly said, “I had other priorities in the ‘60s than military service.”[32]

Cheney testified during his confirmation hearings in 1989 that he received deferments to finish a college career that lasted six years rather than four, owing to sub-par academic performance and the need to work to pay for his education. Upon graduation, Cheney was eligible for the draft, but at the time, the Selective Service System was not inducting married men.[33]

On October 26, 1965, the draft was expanded to include married men without children; Cheney’s first daughter, Elizabeth, was born 9 months and two days later.[34][33]

Cheney’s fifth and final deferment granted him “3-A” status, a “hardship” deferment available to men with dependents. On January 30, 1967, Cheney turned 26 and was no longer eligible for the draft.[34]”

Very good information on the draft status of this warmonger. I can’t think of a better description than “a very tough guy with other people’s blood”.
