I know a family with a small child with DS who just moved from the US to Sweden because services for the child are much better there. I am assuming Sweden is much like Denmark in these matters.
Where I work, disabled children are predominantly black and Hispanic. White and Asian the minority. Do black and brown carry more disabled children? Or do white and Asian do more prenatal screening and elimination?
I don’t think children with DS and other prenatal disabilities will vanish in Scandinavia. They will just be darker, inshallah.

The highest live birth prevalence has been observed in Hispanic infants. For example, data from Texas (2014-2017) and Tennessee (2014-2018) consistently showed the highest rates for Hispanic infants (e.g., 16.3 per 10,000 live births in Texas; 22.8 per 10,000 live births in Tennessee).
Non-Hispanic white infants generally have the next highest prevalence.
Non-Hispanic Black and non-Hispanic Asian infants tend to have lower live birth prevalence rates.
The main reason for these statistical differences in live births is thought to be related to varying rates of prenatal diagnosis and the decision to terminate a pregnancy. Hispanic and Black women have historically been less likely to have access to or undergo prenatal diagnosis than White and Asian women, which results in a higher rate of live births of infants with Down syndrome in those populations.
The fundamental risk factor for Down syndrome is advanced maternal age, and this risk is consistent across all races.
