I was probably what would be considered “neutral” until Carney opened up his mouth and said Trump was afraid to make a wager with him because, “Trump likes to win.” At that point, I was hoping that the Dodgers would sweep the Blue Jays in four games. I don’t hate either team - I just wanted Carney to have to eat crow.
Looks like Trump won the bet with Carney!
Well, Trump never accepted that bet, but if he were, he would won.
This game was down to the wire. And once again the western side of the continent wins another title.
I think the Series was great for the game itself. You got an East Coast person, that grew up with the stories of an integrated Brooklyn team, rooting for a now West Coast team. Against a Canadian Team. Both organizations loaded with Hispanic players. The winning MVP being a Japanese man who spoke through an interpreter. Fitting for a nation known the World over as one great melting pot.
And it was one heck of a great Series.
Take off, hoser.
Blue jays were robbed in game six ball BS.

Leaving the bases loaded like that was a critical missed opportunity.

A great world series, that 18 innings game and the 7th and final game were both very good baseball games. Congratulations DODGERS. Sandy Koufax is still the man.

The way the Blue Jays were fielding tonight they seem destined to win it and they certainly had a great chance in the bottom of the ninth. Dodgers were just that little bit much better and had a pitcher - Yamamoto - who was just unbelievable. And Miguel Rojas hits the game-tying HR? The guy had like ten at-bats in the last month...
Yes…the World Series trophy.
