I get a bit miffed about payroll #2 vs #5. But I’ll leave that behind for now to enjoy the game. But it’s still a great series. I’m loathe to seeing Canadians celebrating a championship, but I’ll take em over the Dodgers.

Pitchers in the National League were able to handle it for 100 years with no extra warmup time between innings. Yeah, but they hardly made it on-base.
The umpire announcer they had said that there is a rule for "umpire discretion" if the pitcher was the third out, or if the pitcher was on-base at the end of the inning. In those cases, they gave the pitcher a few extra minutes to get loose.
I don't think that happened a lot in the the regular season in the National League. Most pitchers struck out or were replaced with pinch-runners if they made it to base.
