This. We don't bother with discount apps for any restaurant. By skipping a visit to any particular place, we'll save more than enough to make up for the lack of a discount the next time we go there. Or maybe we'll just skip that visit too.
BRING ON THE ROBOTS!!! In fact they already have. At a Korean steakhouse that we sometimes go to the wait staff has been mostly replaced by ROBOTS that bring food and drinks to our tables. We had relations from overseas visit us and I told the kids that ROBOTS would be serving us. They thought I was kidding UNTIL it actually happened. Then they became fascinated by the ROBOTS.
I really don’t get people’s complete reliance on cell phones. Or eating out. ;-D
Learn to cook. Tastes better, and cheaper too.
I have a cell phone that stays turned off in a desk drawer about 99% of the time. My wife uses hers quite a bit, but doesn’t like to clutter it up with a bunch of apps.
As for eating out, these days that’s mostly the occasional lunch with friends, or a burger when traveling or during a day of errands.
Another time Chipotle would give electronic BOGO coupons if you texted your phone number to them. I did that and then I texted my wife's phone number and that worked too. Then I texted the phone number of many people that I knew including Brian Craig. I did that while he was doing his morning radio show and he thanked me for that on the air since he used to be a big fan of Chipotle.
I guess you missed my post about being Mr. Air Fryer.
 ...or ENJOYING life.
McDs was the only app for a restaurant that I actually used. Not anymore.
Ditto. It is trash. It often won't let you log in at all. I haven't been to McD's for months because of it.
REALLY? I had never heard of that before. Oh, what's that in my wallet? Why, it's a Costco card!
Those babies do some mean cooking, that's for sure. Reheating pizza any other way is a sin, a SIN I tell you!
LOL! Good to see you.
No Whataburgers in South Florida. The nearest one is St. Augustine. After gasoline and tolls I wonder how much that discount would end up costing me?
My air fryer honey glazed Char Siu turkey is a big hit with my in-laws who mostly (actually ALL) don't really like turkey. Every Thanksgiving I used to embarrass them by thanking them for PRETENDING to like turkey but last Thanksgiving they AUTHENTICALLY loved the char siu turkey that I prepared for the first time.
Perhaps someday I’ll try Chipotle. Haven’t got around to it so far. I must say the TV ads make the food look good, though.
If you want to know the price of a “Craft Burger” meal, just take the price of a McDonald’s Big Mac and divide by zero.
If you loved us you would post the recipe.
I have a method whereby Mrs M and I eat for free at Pei Wei and SmashBurger. However, I fear that if I were to post that method on this popular forum, the method would promptly disappear due to its massive utilization. So I’ll refrain.
The absolute BEST restaurant coupon deal I ever got in terms, not of savings, but in quality of food was when I had 50% discount Einstein Bros. electronic gift cards and they had a BOGO deal on their Nova lox bagel sandwiches. WOW! Those were soooooo good. I use the plural because I got one of the sandwiches for my wife on the deal but she claimed lox reminded her too much of sushi which she hates so I happily ate BOTH sandwiches.
P.S. another reason not to post “the method” is that the smartass, know-it-all commentators on this forum would pish-tosh it to death.
