My reflexive 15 second check: NYC’s population is currently 35.85 percent white; 28.4 percent Hispanic or Latino (which would include white or predominately white Hispanics); 22.7 percent black, 14.62 percent Asian (without any differentiation of East Asian, South Asian, and Southeast Asian groups); and 15.52 percent other. I don’t know where the Muslim (and Christian, Druze, Bahai, and Jewish refugees) from the Muslim countries of the Middle East and North Africa are counted.

The REAL democrat coalition, of course, is an increasingly totalitarian clique of leftist loons allied with the dysfunctional elements of society. The ONLY thing they have in common is the intent to loot the productive classes.

The democrats have a “diversity” coalition consisting of everybody who is not of purely European origin. This includes some extremely high performing and some extremely low performing groups. The only glue holding it together is a “loot whitey” program papered over with an oppressor/oppressed narrative fiction. There is a lot of looting to be had because people of mostly European extraction basically built America, so intergenerational wealth is largely in their hands. So too, for the time being,

White liberals vote for this because they are insane.

The Jews used to be counted as nonwhite, not for especially racist reasons but because they were traditionally considered a Semitic people. Christian Europe accepted the Jews’ own origin stories: Abraham came out of Ur; Moses lead the people out of Egypt. But they weren’t European.

Jews have now been reassigned as white, because as a high functioning minority group, their presence was becoming an embarrassment to the oppression narrative. East Asians are another high functioning group, and they are now in the process of being reclassified as white adjacent. Many of the South Asians, from India, are hard working, high functioning, family and education oriented, and are doing very well. They too will become targets of the gimmedat coalition when NYC chases the last white person out of the city.

The Federal government did not regard Jews, southern Europeans, or Middle Easterners and North Africans as nonwhite. People from these backgrounds were counted as white in census reports and served in whites only units in the armed services. The Southern states never segregated any of these groups. An Italian, a Jew, or a Lebanese could attend whites only public schools and not be forced to ride in the back of the bus. Groups such as the Ku Klux Klan or the German American Bund may have regarded anyone not descended from the British Isles, France, the Germanic countries, or Scandinavia as nonwhite but that was private not governmental judgment. Similarly, country clubs and upper income communities routinely discriminated against Jews, and sometimes Catholics, even “Nordic” Catholics; however, before the civil rights era, such discrimination in private accommodations was permissible.

There is a lot of mythology about the past treatment of people who were not white Protestants, all to encourage the grievance industry and the division of the population.
