I have heard of several people being killed by one punch or blow to the head.

One will never get into a bar fight if one does not go to bars.

It happened about 10 years ago locally. A Dallas /Redskins football game on tv at a bar. Two fans had been ragging each other all day. The ragging turns into curses, insults and finally an assault. One gent is struck in the neck , that blow split an artery long ways . He died on the way to the hospital

The guy who threw the punch got 14 years, 10 for manslaughter, 4 for parole violations .

I almost beat a fellow to death three months prior to my 18th birthday

State attorney called my folks

Dad got connected lawyer

I paid for everything including hospital etc

I was so ashamed

All my peers looked at me different especially the girls

I was at a large party where some didn’t know me and they were talking about it

My buddies snuck me out

Lesson learned

Unlike YouTube don’t pound on someone down

Especially if like in this case it’s solid tween your fist and their head

My knuckles were destroyed and I had blood all over me like I’d gutted a deer sloppily

It’s a lesson I’ve preached to my sons all their lives

Someone is down with little resistance get off of them

Forgot to mention I got down on my knees praying out loud to God once I learned his condition at the ER
